Kaiju Alpha Godzilla Ultima Abilities

Understand Godzilla Ultima's official Update 51 Attack-bar effects, charge mitigation, healing, larger hitbox, and full-Utility mist storm.

Godzilla Ultima’s Kaiju Alpha abilities use an Attack bar and a separate Utility state. The official Update 51 description confirms four special interactions. It does not provide complete skill names, damage, cooldowns, meter gain, hitbox dimensions, or the full effect of the mist storm.

These are the strongest public facts available because they come directly from the current experience description.

Attack-bar testing

Use the same target and server for every comparison. First record the Attack bar below 100. Use Attack 1 once and note target damage, your starting health, ending health, and meter change. Repeat above 100. The difference should reveal whether healing activated, but do not calculate a universal ratio from one target.

For Attack 3, choose a stationary target and mark a reproducible edge distance. Test below 100, then above 100 without changing camera angle or target type. A larger practical contact area supports the official note; it does not establish the exact hitbox shape.

Before

Record health, Attack bar, Utility, target, distance, and server.

Action

Use only one numbered attack and avoid outside damage where possible.

After

Record health, resource change, cooldown, contact, and target state.

Repeat

Run several trials before treating the observation as reliable.

The phrase “above 100” matters. Test clearly below and clearly above before investigating the boundary itself. A displayed 100 may behave differently from 101, and the UI may round hidden values.

Attack 5 charge protection

The official description says charging Attack 5 reduces damage taken by 10%. Compare the same incoming move while idle and while visibly charging. Use a willing partner and similar starting health. Repeat several times, because damage variance, buffs, or target state can distort one result.

Mitigation does not automatically make the charge safe. Consider the total damage taken, whether the charge can be interrupted, the recovery after release or cancel, and the positional advantage the opponent gains. Ten percent protection can still lose to a long punish.

Full Utility and mist storm

Fill the Utility bar without changing other conditions if possible. Activate the prompt and observe weather transition, duration, area, visibility, resource consumption, and any UI effect. Ask another player what they see; a local visual effect and a server-wide state are different claims.

Do not assume the mist deals damage, buffs Ultima, debuffs enemies, or changes spawn behavior unless the live game shows it. The official text confirms the weather change only.

Combat decisions

Above-100 Attack should be treated as a decision window. If Attack 1 can recover health, preserve the threshold when survival matters. If Attack 3’s larger hitbox can catch movement, use it when the opponent would otherwise sit at the edge. However, spending meter or waiting for the threshold may cost pressure; verify the meter cycle before building every exchange around it.

Attack 5’s mitigation is defensive value during commitment, not a general shield. Enter the charge where the opponent cannot easily surround you or add multiple attacks. Keep a reset option after the move.

Use mist as information before strategy. Learn whether it changes sight lines for both players, only appears locally, or combines with another part of the kit. Then test on open shoreline and dense city terrain.

What the official note does not say

The current description does not publish the full five-skill kit, basic attacks, roar effects, exact meter generation, unlock requirements, stat scaling, move cancel rules, cooldowns, or combo order. Preview videos may show earlier versions. Use them to recognize animations, not to guarantee release numbers.

Practice checklist

  1. Locate Attack and Utility bars.
  2. Test all five slots with no target.
  3. Compare Attack 1 below and above 100.
  4. Compare Attack 3 edge contact below and above 100.
  5. Measure Attack 5 incoming damage while idle and charging.
  6. Fill Utility and record the mist’s visible behavior.
  7. Test one short sequence and one safe reset.
  8. Repeat after a new server or update.
