The official Kaiju Alpha description publishes a small but useful controls baseline: PC skills use keys 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, while roars use R and T. It does not publish the complete movement, camera, controller, or mobile layout. Use the current on-screen prompts for everything else.
Official PC actions
Movement keys, jump, camera lock, zoom, target behavior, Utility, menu shortcuts, mobile buttons, and controller bindings should be read from the live interface. Roblox-level movement defaults may apply, but Kaiju Alpha can add or restrict actions.
Learn the five skill slots
Move to open ground and begin with slot 1. Press it once without a target. Watch whether your kaiju moves, turns, charges, projects an effect, or locks in place. Wait for the cooldown to end, then repeat at close, medium, and long distance against the same target type.
Repeat for slots 2 through 5. Record the result in a simple card:

What visual or audio cue happens before the move becomes active?
Range
What is the farthest reproducible hit distance against the same target?
Recovery
When can you move, turn, or use another action after a miss?
Resource
Which bar, charge, health, or special state changes?
This method teaches the controls and the risk of each button. Memorizing a number without seeing the animation makes accidental inputs more likely in combat.
Roars on R and T
The official description calls both R and T roars. It does not state that they are interchangeable or that they always have a combat effect. Current community explanations sometimes describe stationary and moving variants, but that behavior needs an Update 51 check.
Test R while standing still, then while moving. Repeat with T. Observe whether movement stops, whether attacks are unavailable during the animation, whether a meter changes, and whether nearby players receive a visible effect. Do this away from a fight so an interrupted animation is not mistaken for normal behavior.
Utility and special-state prompts
Godzilla Ultima’s official notes refer to a Utility bar and say full Utility can change the weather into a mist storm. The description does not name a universal keyboard binding for Utility. Look for the labeled prompt in the current HUD and confirm whether it is a separate key, a skill state, or a contextual control.
For Ultima, also watch the Attack bar before pressing slots 1 and 3. Their official effects change above 100. A control test that ignores the threshold can produce two different results from the same key.
Mobile and controller setup
On touch devices, identify every button before entering combat. Rotate the camera, move in a circle, and confirm that large fingers do not cover a critical cooldown indicator. If Roblox offers button customization or device-level scaling, adjust it only after you know which controls must remain visible.
On controller, follow the prompts shown in your live session. Open menus and skill descriptions with the controller rather than assuming a keyboard label maps directly. If the UI switches between keyboard and controller prompts unexpectedly, disconnect unused devices and rejoin.
Troubleshooting controls
A skill does nothing: wait for the cooldown, confirm the selected kaiju is fully spawned, check the resource bar, and move away from a restricted zone. Then rejoin a current server.
The wrong slot activates: check keyboard layout, number-row input, mobile touch overlap, or controller remapping. Test in Roblox settings before assuming the game slot changed.
Camera is blocked by the kaiju: zoom and rotate in open terrain, then practice near buildings. Large models require deliberate camera positioning.
A roar interrupts combat: treat the animation as a commitment until you have verified cancel and movement behavior. Do not press R or T as decoration during a dangerous exchange.
Prompts are missing: reopen the HUD or menu, reset only if safe, and join through the official Place ID. Capture the issue before leaving if you plan to report it.
A five-minute control drill
- Move forward, backward, laterally, and around a landmark.
- Rotate and zoom the camera while moving.
- Use each numbered skill once at no target.
- Use each against the same target at a safe range.
- Test R and T while stationary and moving.
- Locate Utility and every resource bar.
- Practice one opener and one disengagement.
Finish the drill before spending currency on a new kaiju. The same key can produce a very different range, movement, or commitment on another kit.
